Smallville - HERO Must be Alone?

Is it Really that Heroes must be face his destiny ALONE?

This is a part of Dialog between Ben and Lana Lang in smallville series, (Seasons 7 episode 05-Action)
this one of my favorites dialog!

 Dialoge Betwen Ben (B) and Lana (L)

L : How did U find me?

B : Destiny!

Sorry Lana, but there’s a hero living among us. And there is only one way he’ll accept his calling. U need to die.

L :Let me go!

B: I can’t. don’t U see? Clark was made for a greater glory, but until he gives up his own desires and focuses on the rest of the world, thousands of lives are that stake.

L : And mine doesn’t matter?

B : I know it’s not easy being a superhero girlfriend, Lana. But Clark has to face his destiny, Alone. And You’re standing in that way.

In many opinion, as a girlfriend of superhero, (like Lana Lang, a girl friend of Clark Kent (or Suberboy)) must be died so superhero could be focus to save mankind and world. Ofcourse I don't agree with it. Many girls want to be superhero girlfriend, that is true

But like Ben said It's not easy being a superhero girlfriend.
